Hamilton Beach is really working hard to come up with new ways to use their appliances, and this is one we hope to make soon. When I do, I’ll post here.

Breakfast Sandwich Maker Molten Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 7 ounces semi-sweet dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
Instructions
Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl.
In a separate bowl place over a pan of hot water, melt the chocolate. Add butter and melt.
Add the beaten eggs to the chocolate and stir by hand.
Add flour and blend by hand.
Place two squares of parchment paper on the bottom burner of the sandwich machine, lower rings and slide the egg support out of the way. Pour in batter, leaving just a tiny bit of room for rising. With two tablespoons of flour, it won’t rise much.
Cook for 8 minutes. Carefully remove, as it will be a bit fragile. Serve on a plate. Cut open for dramatic effect.
